The fabric of this dress is hand-dyed and handwoven by a family that has been weaving high quality textiles for many years. The yarn is dyed, then spun by hand, and then finally handwoven into these stripes. The fabric has a linen like feel with some texture that comes from the dying and weaving process.

This dress is so cute and feels so good to the touch!! However, the sleeves are way too small for my arms- to the point where I can’t put the dress on. I can’t remember if the measurement was on the website, and the Eloise dress is no longer online. It may have been my neglect on not paying attention to the dimensions if they were listed with this dress on the website.

I was nervous about the sleeves because at least one review said the sleeves were too tight, and I should have listened given I have more generous upper arms. I can get the dress on but the sleeves are definitely made for skinny arms. Everything else is great- it’s long (but not too long, I’m just under 5 ft and there’s adequate clearance off the ground) and flowy, generous width, and awesome pockets! I wouldn’t want to size up as I would be afraid it would be too long or wide. LizAlig, please consider widening the sleeve openings by a couple of inches at least. I’m working to slim down my arms with exercises, so hopefully this will fit more comfortably soon. Other small surprise is that the material is more linen-like than I expected. A little rough, but not uncomfortable, and maybe will soften with washing.
