This is a lovely checked linen fabric with generous pockets but the gathering above the hips isn’t flattering if you have an hourglass shape as I do. Makes the hips look wider as the waist on a medium is tight. My regular size is a 6-8..

Super cute skirt, but does run a little large! I'd recommend sizing down if you're between sizes. I worn this several times before ultimately giving it to a fellow fair-trade loving friend because it didn't fit me well (the elastic on the waist bunch at odd places and wasn't flattering to my figure, and the length was in between knee length and midi on me) so I didn't wear it as much as I would have wanted to. But the pattern was really cute, it seemed well made and was great quality and could be worn spring/summer/fall, so overall it's a great skirt if it works for your body!
