One sentence tell me what you do:
I teach fifth grade English at a small school in Nashville, and I write and produce my lifestyle blog, The Honey Print.
What do you do for inspiration when you are in a creative rut?
I either go for a walk, as fresh air often clears my mind and makes way for new ideas, or I turn to others for inspiration. I read a blog I admire (typically A Cup of Jo) or an engaging book, both of which usually spark something in me!
What are you learning right now?
I love this question because I value being a lifelong learner so much, especially being a teacher. Right now I'm learning that I'm capable of so much more than I think I am. I'm learning to believe and trust in myself more - and be rid of that self-doubt!
What is your favorite garment in your wardrobe?
My favorite garment often changes, but currently, it's a basic white tee! I love basics for spring for their versatility and comfort.
What is the first thing you do in the morning?
I drink a full glass of water. Drinking plenty of water is, of course, key for our health, and I find that starting my day by hydrating gets me on track for a healthy rest of the day.
What is the most fulfilling thing about your work?
As for teaching, the most fulfilling thing is watching students grow, knowing that I influenced and fostered their growth. There's nothing like watching a student "get it" right before your eyes! As for my blog, the most fulfilling thing is simply satisfying my innate need to create. I love writing and taking pictures, and blogging gives me purpose in doing so.
